Applications are now open for the 2024 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Program.
Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), the operator of Oil Mining Lease 118, in partnership with Nigerian Agip Exploration, TotalEnergies Nigeria, and Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria (Deepwater) Limited, under a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), invites applications from qualified Nigerian students for the 2024 NNPC – SNEPCo National University Scholarship Program.
The program aims to promote academic excellence and enhance the skills of young Nigerians. It provides an annual grant to successful applicants from their second year through the completion of their undergraduate degree program.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens.
- Currently be in their second year of full-time study at a Nigerian university accredited by the NUC.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale or the equivalent in other grading systems.
- Not be recipients of any other scholarships from entities in the Oil and Gas industry, whether national or international.
Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Selection Criteria
Applicants must:
- Submit their application via the scholarship portal by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to take the monitored computer-based test.
- From each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, only the top 10 candidates will be shortlisted for academic verification before a scholarship offer is made.
- Candidates who submit falsified results will be disqualified.
Only candidates who successfully meet the above criteria will be contacted to receive the scholarship award.
All scholars must maintain a minimum 3.5 CGPA per session on a 5.0 scale, or the equivalent in other grading systems, to continue receiving the award.
