If you are already using the hardware token and you want to use the soft token, then you must deactivate the hard token.
The next step is to download the first bank mobile app and register.
The hard token and soft token are digital tools the user will use to create protection keys and the soft token is an application that can be accessed from the mobile and used to generate PIN numbers.
There will be two fields, which are the serial number and activation code. The serial number is used for those who want to activate the hardware token but the activation code is for those who want to use the soft token.
To hey an activation code, you will have to visit the nearest first bank branch and register, after which you will be given the activation code.
How to use the first token?
If you want to use the hardware token, follow the steps below:
- Login to your first bank mobile banking application.
2. Go to your ‘’Account setting’’ and click on ‘’Token synchronization’’
3. Take your token number and press the button to generate a sort of random number.
4. Enter the digits in the first field provided
5. Press the button once more and enter the code in the second field provided
6. Locate the serial number on the token, then enter the token in the right field.
7. Press the confirm button
After activating it, you can go ahead to use the token.
How to get/generate first bank OTP code
If you want to get the first bank OTP, you must have the number you used in registering your bank account, you will receive the OTP as a message on your phone, enter the code in the space provided for it.
