The Mitacs Internship Programme will provide full-time employment opportunities to 12 top Canadian university students over a three-month period in 2019. Selected interns will work with renowned Mitacs partners across North America, Europe, Australasia and Africa, tackling pressing global issues including climate change, water security and health.

Mitacs, a global leader in innovative technology solutions, today announced the establishment of its internship program in Canada. The program will provide talented and ambitious young people with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Mitacs’s businesses across engineering, marketing, business development, finance and operations.
The first cohort of interns will start their two-year program in September 2019 and will be based in Montreal and Vancouver. The program is open to students graduating from undergraduate or graduate programs in fields such as business, engineering, science, mathematics and statistics.

Transportation to the host institution
Transportation to the Mitacs Internship in Canada is provided by Mitacs. The trip takes approximately 10 hours and will depart from Toronto on the morning of July 11th. The return trip will be made on the evening of July 18th.
The cost of the trip is $1,795 CAD and all participants must provide their own transportation. Mitacs does not provide any meals or accommodation on the trip. Participants are responsible for their own food and drink expenses.
Participants are required to bring a laptop and a carry-on bag. Laptops must be equipped with a wireless internet connection and a full battery so that participants can continue working during the trip. Participants are also responsible for ensuring that they have a valid passport and visa for Canada.
All participants are required to complete an online application form and submit it before April 30th in order to be considered for the internship. There is no guarantee that everyone who applies will be accepted, but those who are selected will be notified in early May.
