Martins Vincent Otse, better known by his online moniker Verydarkman (VDM), has returned to the public scene after his recent stint in police custody. The social media activist and controversial figure was arrested in connection with a N300 million fraud case but has since been released, much to the interest of his substantial online following.

In a viral video posted on his social platforms, VDM confirmed his release and shed light on the circumstances surrounding his arrest. According to him, the arrest came not from a personal vendetta but rather a political maneuver instigated by a petition from a politician he had previously accused of defrauding a Nigerian expatriate.
The arrest follows closely on the heels of VDM’s public interactions with prominent figures such as Iyabo Ojo, Paulo, and Obi Cubana, adding layers to the saga that captured the attention of both fans and critics. Despite the severe nature of the allegations, VDM’s focus in his video was not just on his legal troubles but also on his commitment to his cause.

VDM expressed a poignant mix of frustration and determination in his message. “I don suffer,” he stated, highlighting the personal toll of his activism. Yet, it’s clear that these challenges have not dampened his resolve. He articulated a fierce continuation of his work, especially in championing the rights of the less privileged against influential adversaries. “The painful part of this whole thing is that I can’t stop and sadly, they will keep arresting me,” he declared, using the phrase “ATI LO ATI DE” to signal his ongoing commitment to his advocacy work.
