Mike Martens, President of the Business Association Alberta, emphasized the situation’s urgency: “It’s the No. 1 issue on everyone’s mind. All these infrastructures need fixing, from sewage lines to roads, bridges, and hospitals, and we don’t have enough people to do the work.”
“Alberta is Calling” Campaign
The “Alberta is Calling” campaign has launched its latest phase to attract workers to the province. This third phase offers a $5,000 (over N5 million) incentive for skilled individuals from other provinces to relocate to Alberta. Nigerians in Canadian provinces like Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia are eligible for this relocation incentive.
