Thus, if you want to get away from Facebook and all its entanglement you can simply delete your account or if you just want to take some time off you deactivate your account and cool off for a while.
Delete Facebook Account Now
With all the news hitting us about new data breaches daily, it has become imperative for some users who want to protect themselves and their information to delete their Facebook account immediately.
Facebook on daily basis, is being used as a tool for political manipulation and polarization, dissemination of fake news and a place where hate speeches are being churned out on a daily basis, it is understandable when some people say they can’t deal, and seriously they may not be able to deal with it.
With recent slip-ups that have revealed how little control Facebook has over the security of users’ data, and how flawed their privacy is, it goes to say that it has become worrisome the way the trend is actually going and it is a cause for concern.
So if you want to deactivate or delete your account, here are one or two things you have to consider:
Deactivating Facebook Account vs Deleting Facebook Account
When you hear the term deactivating your account, it means you are not totally doing away with your account on the social network. You are only putting your account on hold to hide it from your profile from friends and searches until when you wish to come back to it later.
Now when you decide to come back to your account, you will find everything exactly the way you left it. All you have to do to claim back your account, is to log back into your account and have your account completely restored.
Now deactivating your account is a good option when you need to cool off and stay off the platform for sometime.
On the other hand, if you want to take a more serious step, you can permanently delete your profile together with all the information, saved articles, pictures, and messages. Note that after your account has been deleted, you will not be able to sign back into your Facebook account and retrieve anything you left there.
