Devry University
Devry University is a for-profit college that is in the United States. Founded by Herman A. Devry in 1931 as DeForest Training School, the school officially became Devry University in 2002.
The DeForest Training School was originally known for teaching projector and radio repair but later expanded to include other electronic equipment like televisions. In 1953, the school was renamed Devry Technical Institute and gained accreditation to confer associate degrees in electronics in 1957.
In 1967, Bell & Howell completed the school’s acquisition, and a year later, the company acquired the Ohio Institute of Technology and had DeVry renamed DeVry Institute of Technology, which was accredited to confer bachelor’s degrees in electronics in 1969.
When it comes to its academic offerings, DeVry University’s are organized into five colleges. They are:
