Voice messages are one of the great features of WhatsApp, it is great for when something is better explained through voice rather than text or when you are feeling lazy. Receiving a long voice message can be a pain to listen to all through. What’s is trying to create a remedy for that, by adding a new alternative for voice message playback.
The newest feature update is small and straightforward, you can play voice messages on WhatsApp at three different speeds.
- 1X speed, you will hear the clip at the normal pace it was recorded and if this option is too slow for you.
- You can try the 1.5X for a boost
- 2X to listen to it play twice as fast.
You select your preferred speed it will pay that way until you change it.
However, WhatsApp isn’t everyone’s first choice when it comes to instant messaging services anymore. The app has made various changes to its privacy policy since January 2021, making users jump into other platforms.
Telegram added the speed back as early as 2018 on pcs and it mobile apps followed in 2019.
Mark Zuckerberg Facebook CEO and Cathcart WhatsApp CEO have confirmed that the social media app is working on adding multi-device capability.
